Book Review: Running For My Life, by Lopez Lomong

Running For My Life

Lopez Lomong crafts an inspirational story in his book, “Running for My Life.”  Snatched away from his family as a small child, he details his story of survival as a “Lost Boy” of Sudan and his aspirations of one day running as an Olympian for the United States of America.

Lomong’s story encourages those tempted to forego their dreams to stay the course…to press on.  Life throws unexpected curve balls and setbacks hound everyone, but Lomong models perseverance, trusting God for the outcome.

“Running for My Life” challenges Americans to be thankful.  So many times citizens of the United States take for granted their citizenship in the greatest nation on the face of the earth.  With evident pride, Lopez Lomong boasts that as he runs not only does he fulfill a life long dream, but he represents the United States of America.

Throughout the book, Lopez reminds the reader of God’s goodness and that “all things work together for good for those who love the Lord.”
